Kent Wildlife Trust's Education Team need your help to support them to organise and deliver their education provision in Kent. This role would be ideal for those wanting to start a career in Education or those wanting to spend their spare time with a friendly team at a local conservation organisation. 

Why do we need you?

We are looking for volunteers to support us in the administration of our many and varied education programmes. As part of our friendly and enthusiastic admin team, you will play an important role in helping with the smooth running of our education provision, helping to make and manage bookings, track and record engagement and use a range of social media platforms to promote our activities. The role will be primarily office based, at our headquarters in Tyland Barn, Maidstone.

What will you be doing?

  • Assisting the organisation and delivery of educational programmes and events.
  • Supporting the Education team in promoting activities using social media platforms.
  • Supporting with record-keeping and administration, including the recording of engagement journeys.

Experience and skills needed for this role

  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for nature and wildlife

Considerations

  • The volunteer role is open to applicants over the age of 18.

  • Reasonable expenses can be paid. 

  • Full training is given and you'll only be asked to do work you are comfortable with.

  • We are looking for someone who can commit at least one day a week.
